We had lunch in the garden on Saturday while enjoying the Tanya Lonergan Band's performance as part of the Jazz, Blues and Beer Festival. The setting was stunning with views over the town and coast and the food was lovely, especially the home-made desserts. This is the second time I have had lunch at the Mariners, the previous time being... More

We booked a seaview room which was spacious and well appointed, but after some problems we moved to a room facing the street. The new room was smaller, but ok except for the shower which was electric with poor pressure (so limited water flow.) The problems we encountered in our original room were resolved quickly by the staff. The hotel... More

Our room faced the street and was newly renovated in this historic hotel. The room was spotless and although small, was entirely adequate. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast and evening meal were very good, waiting staff very engaging. A good feature is the car park over the road as Lyme Regis is for walking really. Pleasant surprise for... More

A very enjoyable stay ! Staff friendly and helpful and room clean, modern and spacious. Meals were v.good with generous breakfast helpings and a wide choice ofwell prepared evening meals. Particularly recommended is the private adjoining car park, a facility I always rate very highly.

On a weekend trip in late April, we enjoyed the stay because the ambiance iand staff good, the rooms nicely renovated and the food in the restaurant or bar is to a very high standard. Although the Mariners might look externally like pub with accommodation, it is essentially a good standard small hotel. Garden looks pleasant although weather too inclement... More

We fully understood the hotels policy on cancellation, that is not my complaint. When we advised that we were unfortunately unable to fulfill our booking, we were advised that they would refund if they were able to refill the room - What a great jesture of goodwill !! We then rang on the day (secret shopper style) to enquire about... More

Dear Geoff H, I'm the manager of the Mariners. I have tried to contact you for further details on your complaint but you have declined to respond to me. I've spoken to all members of staff regarding your complaint and no-one knows anything about it. It would not be in any member of staff's interest, or mine, to hold on... More

The hotel is very clean and the staff were very friendly. We stayed in room 1 which was right above the kitchen so a bit noisy at meal times. The room had a few minor niggles - lack of a full length mirror, insufficient hanging space in the wardrobe and the TV was far too small - it was right... More

anyone who follows my reviews would know that I visit a different hotel every week either for accomodation or work and I can say that this is one of the best hotels that I have visited. The staff led by the manager Stuart are extremely helpful, friendly and generous whose sole aim is to make your stay as pleasurable as... More

My boyfriend booked this as a birthday treat for me. We stayed two nights. Rooms were very nicely furnished, with a very comfortable bed and the on suite was exceptionally clean and stocked with very nice toiletries. All the staff were very pleasant always acknowledging you and very very helpful. Breakfast was good, and though we never ate in the... More
