Simply the best meal we have had whilst on our holiday in Cornwall / Devon. Food is cooked to perfection and although not cheap, I would say very reasonably priced for the quality. Is busier than we expected so we had a bit of a wait (which the staff told us about before we ordered so this is not in... More

The Who'd Have Thought It Inn is GREAT in every way - Great hosts, Great little pub/inn, Geat food and REALLY GREAT rooms. I would STRIONGLY recommend!!! The only negative which could also be perceived as a POSITIVE depending on your perception is it's location (especially if using Sat Nav). The Inn is wonderfully remote but the drive to get... More

The warmest of welcomes, upgraded to another room because they had had a cancellation (other hotels take note, this is a very nice thing to do for your guests!), fabulous food and a great night's sleep. The bedroom was decorated beautifully, with a very comfortable bed and fluffy duvet. Decent ales and a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are doing something... More

We didn't stay here but were recommended by locals to eat here. Fantastic recommendation, the food was awesome. 16th century pub that sources local produce to serve on it's ever-changing menu. Plenty of choices and the 5 dishes we had were all excellent. Very reasonably priced too! If they have it the butterscotch banana crumble is to die for!

After a hectic holiday in St Ives, we needed somewhere quiet on the way back to London and a quick search of the internet revealed this gem. The 5.30pm check-in wasn't a problem, as we'd been touring the Cornish coastline during the day and our breath was taken away when we walked into our room. It must have been converted... More

Invited by friends. Pheasant dry, tough, with no sauce accompanied by boiled potatoes. Steak advertised at 8oz but portion much smaller. Hand cut fries would be better. A very amateurish operation in dire need of an interested, talented chef. Overall a poor dining experience.
