A very solid three star hotel for accommodation. Probably deserves three and a half to be honest! We dropped in looking for a family room and one was made up for us on the spot. The room is very spacious as it the en-suite bathroom. In fact for an older style inn both are huge. The bathroom looks like it... More

Its such a shame, I was really looking forward to a relaxing meal with my new partner. It was a saturday evening and the place was empty. We sat at our choice of table, which had been used. It wasn't even cleared or wiped down for us (salt all over the table). Menus were left on the table and not... More

I found this Inn while looking for accommodation near Escot Park where I had a short term job. What a delight. The pub section on the ground floor was a good old fashioned comfortable pub with timber beams, fireplace and strings of hops hanging from the ceiling. It immediately felt like the kind of place that catered to locals as... More

We stayed here for three nights to be close to Combe House for a wedding. It was fantastically located and the friendly welcome and excellent service made all the difference. Janice and her team were all so accommodating and ensured we were well looked after, Janice even offering us a lift back up to the venue the morning after the... More

Very lovely old building with a relaxed atmosphere, Large outdoor area, with lots of animals. Great for a sunny day. We walked to the Greyhound on a dog walk we popped in for some food and I believe that the chef at the Greyhound is the best fish chef I have come across. The staff we very attentive and friendly.... My husband and I stopped at this lovely Inn in Fenny Bridges for lunch. What a delight. The food was perfect and the service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The ambience they have created is warm and welcoming in a traditional English Inn setting. The menu is extensive and everything is freshly prepared... More

We had heard alot of good comments about this pub and decided to experience it first hand. We were definitely not disappointed. The atmosphere is friendly and traditional, the staff were most accommodating and pleasant. The food was of al carte standard with pub prices, especially the fish dishes. The children were entertained with toys, colouring and the animal park... More

I originally booked into the Greyhound for a couple of nights but I ended up staying for weeks while working in nearby Ottery St Mary. The Inn is a family run business and they could not be any more friendly and helpful, nothing is ever a problem. I ate there almost every night during my stay and the food was... More

I visited the Greyhound last week with my husband daughter, son in law and baby grand daughter. We are locals and were eager to try food at the Greyhound as it has reasonably new owners after being shut for quite a while. 3 of us had the carvery which was at best ok. Gravy very watery, veg overcooked and yorkshire... More
