Stayed here many, many time since the 1990's. Yes, not the most up to date hotel, but a warm and friendly atmosphere always and a nice welcome. If you spend too much time in your room, then you are not doing what you should be doing, which is going out and seeing the many local attractions. It will be sadly... More

A time warp would be the best description. Staff helpful but the owner/manager didn't seem to care much about the place, which is reflected in the decor. You get what you pay for, but the building has so much potential it needs someone with vision to get it to a good star rating. Send in the hotel inspector!!

Don't book a stay in this hotel. The place is grubby and smelly and the service is awful. The views from some of the bedrooms are very nice, but that doesn't make up for the high price charged. Avoid this place at all costs.

This used to be a great hotel, good food, pleasant rooms, perfect for a seaside break.Sadly it has really let standards drop, whilst the food is okay the entire place is in need of upgrading. It is not cheap and if it wasn't for the excellent location the place would be empty. The male member of staff is the most... More

This hotel is possible the worst we have stayed in during our time here in the UK. We have been travelling around for 3 weeks now (on holidays from Australia) so we have stayed in many b&b's and hotels - and this one really disappointed us. The room itself was tired and although the sheets and pillows appeared quite clean,... More

Stayed for one night and was pretty disappointed. We are from Australia and were visiting family in the North East for 3 weeks when we decided to have an overnight trip away, leaving our son with his grandma for the night. We booked a double room but on arrival were given the option of a twin with sea view. We... More

This place occupies a prime position in a beautiful seaside town. But needs a massive change of attitude. For example in an affluent, dynamic town the Blenheim seems to do its best to put the locals off, which means it lacks atmosphere. Why not have a much more welcoming bar? A terrace or balcony seating area to make the most... More

We stayed here for 4 nights over the last weekend in August and found the Hotel ideal for our needs. Aisla and her staff were most helpful during our stay and I can say our party didnt notice any damp smells at all. The rooms are basic but clean and the breakfast was very good . The tariff of £47pppn... More
