Not quite sure how the previous reviewer came to their conclusions. My friends and I recently spent three nights here and were extremely satisfied with all aspects of our stay. Both rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated and the showers were nice and powerful (a treat when you've been out walking the nearby coastal path all day). Jim and Annette... More

Glad to hear that you all had an enjoyable stay, despite the rain! Hope to see you again in the near future More

I paid £65:00 for the doubtful priviledge of staying in a small room, with a tiny shower located in what was a cupboard. The hosts were friendly - but sorry - that is not enough to make up for the short-comings of this place. It was grubby and tired, and the bacon at breakfast was very under-cooked. I asked for... We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Previous review was for the same room that you stayed in. Just goes to show that you cannot please everybody all of the time. More

The hosts are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in a bed and breakfast and the house was beautiful and clean. The beds were a bit hard but you can't have everything! Lovely attention to detail and great local knowledge. Highly recommended!!!

Thank you for your review, it is very rewarding to know that you have enjoyed your stay. Difficult one with the bed as some guests like firm beds others soft, what we can do is offer to put on a mattress topper. Hope to see you again. More

We stayed in room 3 with our dog for two nights at £80 a night. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was lovely and jim and annette were lovely. About 15min walk to harbour via cycle route. My mum and her partner stayed about a month before hand. We all thought overall lovely stay but over priced for the size of... More

We stayed for 2 nights from 30th September. We found the times of checking-in (not between 11am - 4pm) slightly inconvenient as we were there on business and, having driven up from London in heavy traffic, would have appreciated being able to book in on arrival in Wells so as to have taken a quick shower. However, when we were... More

Thank you for your comprehensive review. I would like to reply to the negative comments you made. Although our normal check in time is after 4pm which enables us time to service the rooms, shop for fresh produce and exercise the dogs, our guests are welcome to arrive at any time after 11am by arrangement and will be shown to... An experience I wouldn't want to repeat! Stayed for 2 nights last weekend. We had to order breakfast day before which we did handing over a tick list. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't as tasty as we'd expected so we were unable to finish it. Owner seemed to be quite put out and told us not to 'overorder' the next day... More

Surprisingly I find myself agreeing with your review. I find the thought of facing a breakfast consisting of a 2 bowls of cereals, a sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, eggy bread and scrambled egg (4 eggs in total) very unappetising. Where we differ is that having ordered that on the first day of my stay, I... More

A pretty property with a hidden horror - my four year old was bitten in the face by one of the owner's dogs within an hour of arriving at this bed and breakfast. As a responsible parent I had of course checked that the dogs (who were loose on our arrival at the property) were safe with the children, and... More

We remember very well your stay with us and since your stay, have introduced some new policies following our experiences with your daughter. Having seen the danger your daughter could have been in when she walked in to the kitchen, lost, having been left unattended whilst you were out of her sight reading. We are acquiring new signage to be... More

A quiet and peaceful location, yet a short walk from the centre of the village and the quay. Jim and Annette made us very welcome to their home and provided an excellent breakfast each morning as well as always being available to offer help and advice on where to visit and where to eat.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay with Annette , Jim and their delightful dogs. The place is spotlessly clean and they serve a delicious breakfast each morning to your personal selection. They make you feel most welcome into their home We highly recommend this property.
