We stayed here a few days before Christmas with our 2 boys aged 6 and 12. Its our 5th time and we really enjoy it always. They could just do with more indoor games. Also it was our first time during Christmas and we expected more decorations, keeping it tasteful but just more of it. The staff are always lovely... More

We have visited Ickworth Hotel 3 times now and have never been disappointed! The staff are extremely attentive without being over bearing, the facilities are very good for all age groups ( we have children ranging from 3 yrs to 12 yrs) and the atmosphere is relaxed. The hotel food is amazing both for children and adults. For the children... More

We stayed one night at the hotel and also dined there on New Years Eve. On arrival we were upgraded to a two bedroom appartment in the Dower House which was incredibly spacious and comfortable and suited us very well as we had dogs with us. We had the 6 course set dinner and it was superb. The whole thing... More

We stayed one Easter holiday for 1 night and really enjoyed ourselves. On arrival it feels like a huge stately home. Our room was huge and very stylish overlooking the front. Our girls were 5 and 7 and we loved the games room, the pool, the grounds were completely stunning full of daffodils and we cycled all around and visited... More

Food and facilities at the Ickworth are both excellent. The staff is also attentive and friendly. The one thing to check in advance is your room location. The Mussenden room should be avoided - it is at the front of the building and so suffered from the noise of various deliveries in the early morning. And worst of all, it... More

We spotted a special offer for NT Members which was a Sunday only special of cream tea, dinner, b & b for £149 for 2. Too good to miss. Although this hotel is really geared to families with young children (and wealthy ones too, given their normal prices) it was also fine for adult couples. It started well with the... More

I came here for the weekend with my family, we all had a really good time. The staff were really nice and really made us feel at home. Our children love going to play in the four bears den where they were supervised for 2 hours by two members of staff. The were very helpful and our children really enjoyed... More

Having been given a “champagne tea” at the Ickworh Hotel by some dear friends to celebrate our ruby wedding, 60th birthday etc, we looked at the website and decided that as it looked so lovely we would stay overnight. Our stay was in late June, and we were unaware of any issues regarding the company going into administration. Looking at... More

We belong to The National Trust, and they offer all their members a very special price to stay on a Sunday, with afternoon tea and dinner in The Conservatory as well as breakfast included. We were greeted by a very nice young man who checked us in, showed us where the restaurant was, explained that in the basement was a... More
