As part of a group of ten taking part in a 130 mile sponsored walk for charity we would probably have been happy to rest our heads anywhere, under a sheet on the street corner, but fortunately we had booked into this charming place. All the staff were super friendly, delighted to welcome us, and honestly made our stay a... More

Jenny (apologies if I have the name wrong) on reception was an absolute star and couldn't have made us more welcome despite the fact that we changed our arrival time about... More

We had a flat screen TV, modern bathroom,a very comfortable bed and the charm of an original room. The main part of the hotel is an old coaching inn. There... More

Comfortable, quiet and spacious, if slightly tired, room in the new block was perfect for sorting out my gear after a day mountain biking with friends. There was a big shed for storing our bikes and a good range of beers for the post-cycle analysis. Dinner and breakfast were both good - the steaks at dinner were particularly good. We... More

This was a fantastic hotel and I would highly recommend it. From the friendly efficient service at Reception to the relaxed bar atmosphere and lovely food, it was a great overnight trip. The room was lovely and clean with a huge double comfortable bed and great ensuite bathroom. I look forward to staying again soon Thanks More

I have stayed here many times of the past few years. It seems to go through a shaky patch which explains some of the reviews.... However there has been some major changes which have really enhanced the whole experience. The food is wonderful, the rooms clean and comfortable. The bars are well stocked and the staff friendly. They even have... More
