We stayed 3 days in early May. Our room was very pleasant opening onto its own patio. The hotel is well appointed and central, just off the Rambla. Parking is close, well managed and secure (extra charge). Figueres is interesting in its own right (Dali Foundation) but we had the bonus of a festival. Moors fought Christians on the Rambla.... We very much enjoyed our two day stay in Figueres and at Hotel Duran. Our standard room was modern and spacious with very comfortable beds (side-by-side twins). The room had a light sewage smell. We solved the problem by opening the windows. When you read the reviews you know this is a common problem. We found the hotel overrated on Tripadvisor. The location is ok. Park garage available at 15 € the night. Because of the negative breakfast reviews we had breakfast on the Ramblas.(Next to hotel).

My wife first stayed in this lovely hotel in the early '70's and we both loved our visit this month. A great hotel in a terrific position with all the facilities one would expect. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good value. The fantastic old-style restaurant only added to our enjoyment.

We had the privilege of staying March 17 and 18th at Hotel Duran. The hotel is extraordinarily clean but "green products" are not being used as the cleaning oders were stinging to the nose. -Rooms are updated and mattresses very comfortable.
