Stayed here for one night while driving from Aix en Provence to Barcelona. Very stylish hotel with a great restaurant. Lot’s of original Dali works and close to the Dali museum. Garage for car at a reasonable rate. I highly recommend the Dali museum. Would stay here again. more

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Duran. We had a large bedroom with modern furnishings and french windows opening on to a small balcony overlooking a side street. There was little noise from the street overnight apart from someone shouting very loudly in the early hours one night. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed with a large walk-in shower.... more

We stayed in the Hotel Duran 30 Years ago. The rooms were old but with a wonderful ambiance of the old days with a lot of antiques. Now the rooms are renovatet to the state of art - but without it's unique atmosphere (but excellent beds). The receptionist didn't speak English or German; this in a Hotel with 3 stars... more

Great hotel, and wonderful restaurant, which doesn't appear to have changed for 40 years (nor do most of the waiters). Never eaten anywhere with a crepe suzette trolley and a special hammer for extracting fish baked in salt, before! I didn't find the waiters "hammy" as one other reviewer said, just people who took their work seriously. I'm amazed that... more

Very well modernised, large rooms, and although we had a room which overlooked the street, the double-double window kept all noise out. Other contributors have mentioned a smell, which is all-prevailing, but not just in the hotel, in the surrounding streets as well. It appears to be a drains-connected smell! Others have also mentioned the difficult access to the hotel's... more

Hotel not bad - nice location, decent rooms, fair price, but avoid the restaurant. To start with, it trades heavily on its 'Dali' past. Secondly, the food is no way as good as it should be. But the real killer is the terrible and hammy service of the waiters. We kept smiling through the meal, mainly because they reminded us... more

The hotel was OK. Nothing spectacular but fair accomodations. Beware of the food service though, both dinner and especially breakfast. Dinner was expensive, and the portions miniscule, maybe this is what's expected from a restaurant with Michlein aspirations, who knows, but breakfast at 9 Euro PP is a shame. A few meat and cheese slices on the buffet, yougurt and... more

We stayed at the Hotel "Duran" on our way back home from the Costa Blanca. We booked it after having read the previous reviews and weren't dissapointed. The hotel is located in the center of the old town. It is a perfect and tasteful combination of old and new! The staff at the reception spoke English and French and were... more

I picked this hotel from reviews on Trip Advisor--it was a great choice. The hotel is clean and very centrally located for Figueres. It was about a five minute walk to the Dali Museum, and the La Rambla is just a 30 second walk. Most of the hotel staff speaks very good English. The woman who worked some mornings either... more
