Found this on Booking.com, and it was our first nights stay in Tenerife. While it is steeply uphill when coming from the bus station (take a taxi!), it is so convenient to the old part of the city which made it worthwhile . Although it had remote check-in and we arrived about an hour early, the delightful maid saw that we could access our room. The rooms are spacious and charming and have everything one could need. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is an attractive, old fashioned property. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. Our room was a reasonable size & had the benefit of a large terrace, with a couple of sun loungers and a table & chairs. However, the rooms are in need of an upgrade. The bathroom looked unchanged from the 1970s & the carpet was very tired, although the bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast was very poor - a derisory buffet, plus some over-cooked eggs. However, we had dinner there and the food, while not cheap, was excellent, with good service as well

This is a charming traditional colonial house built round a courtyard which has been glassed over to create a lovely breakfast room. Our room on the third floor was a little small but comfortable and with a nice spacious bathroom, I think the second floor rooms are better if a little dearer. On the plus side it opened out on to the roof terrace which had a marvellous view of Teide (cloud permitting) in one direction, and over the town to the sea in the other. Magical at night. The breakfasts are excellent: a choice of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, eggs done in a variety of ways, bacon or ham. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our only criticisms are that the wifi is very patchy but we did manage to find a corner on the landing with a couple of chairs right next to the router. Although the hotel advertises free parking on site (not reservable) it has only 3 spaces for 14 rooms so it is not always easy to get a slot. There is street parking too but few spaces. On one occasion we had to park overnight in the public car park about 10 minutes walk away. Excellent value.

We stayed for three days. Fairly good breakfast. Some of the rooms donat have Windows which you can look our from. Wi-Fi are not the best. Free parking about 500 m from the hotel. Nice restaurant in the building. Serves good food. Café and bar are good. This Place are not handicapfriendly.

This historical beautifull Hotel is located in the centre of La Orotava with a view over El Teide and the Athlantic Ocean. The rooms are clean en excellent. Breakfast is abbundant with choice and served with top quality coffee. The best is their hospitality. I will explain: they gave their parkingspot in front of the hotel for free and packed us a lunch free of charge before we went hiking to the top of El Teide.

While visiting the lovely town of la Orotava I stopped here because of the beautifull hallway and patio I saw. Then I asked if I could have coffee (not staying as a guest there). And sure I could! The waiter/bartender made me a wonderfull cappucino and we talked about the quallity of it. It was the best I had on the island in a long time. And incredibly cheap too!

Stopped when passing and ordered Dinner of the Day, no need to book. Included starter, main, desert and a glass of wine or beer. 3 choices included in starter & main. We had the pork and spaghetti Bologna .. all tasty, desert was a brownie and ice cream. All delicious as was the wine. Service was excellent, professional and friendly. Wider menu choice if you prefer. All for €11.50 .. great all round. Thanks.

I didn’t stay the hotel, which looked really pleasant actually, so this review is for the restaurant only. I loved the old authentic house- it definitely has a soul and looks beautiful. The service was excellent. The local Tajinaste wine and the fois gras toasts were absolutely delicious. I was not particularly keen on the fesert I tried but I guess this is a question of personal taste. All in all the restaurant was a good experience and I’d recommend it.

3 star at best, we stayed half board, the evening meal was terrible, calamari, pork or veg lasagne...that was the choices... i had the pork which was pan fried with chips...that was it ? very chewy and i left most of it....breakfast buffet was very canarian, only 2 warm items scrambled eggs and lomo...seemed they had been there for some time...again not very good...could not find staff to check out. I can only recommend that you choose to stay only and eat locally, plenty to choose from within a short distance, this is the 2nd time i have stayed here, and standards have dropped tremendously ...now very average. Stayed in room 302 on the roof, poorly maintained floor, windows hard to function, shower unit very old and tired

Stayed 4 nights here. As an Historical building there are usual creaks etc in rooms but everything was clean and tidy. Rooms had a bit older decor but if fit in well with the historic nature of the building. Bed was comfy and had good nights sleep even though were on the street side of hotel. We were lucking in that our room had a patio to the side of the building as well that had nice views over the town. Breakfast was included and was basic enough but sufficient. Hotel was located in the historical part of the town. It was an excellent location for walking about the town. Parking is a couple of hundred meters away but is gated. You have to pay extra for this upon arrival and you receive a fob to operate the gate.
