Tired apartments, badly equipped. No washing machine or dishwasher, no aircon, etc etc. Had the cheek to charge us (3.50 euros) for using the launderette by reception- this entailed a long trip downstairs - or 4 lifts - and another trip back upstairs when I found no machine was available. The Monterey is approximately 20 minutes walk to Las Americas, however the return walk up the hill is not for the faint hearted, its location does provide stunning views though.
