We did not book this hotel in advance, because we intented to stay in Malaga city for 6 nights but moved on due to lack of sleep. The council cleaned the street outside our window at the Malaga hotel and collected the rubbish at 3 oclock in the morning! The reception at the El Puerto was very friendly,we requested a room... more

We booked this hotel as a last minute cheap deal and were a bit dubious about what we might find; usually being a bit of a snob and liking to stay in expensive hotels. We travelled by train from Malaga airport and found the hotel was in a straight line down to the beach front from the station (about 300... more

My wife and I stayed there for a week when her brother was getting married in a nearby village. The hotel was very accomodating by grouping a few rooms together side-by-side for family, and arranged sea-view rooms as we had asked for. It is in an excellent location in the heart of Fuengirola, just across the street from the beach... more

Great views, close to all nightlife (disco in the same building). Small rooms, old furniture, hotel built in the 70s. Rooms cleaned every day, staff very friendly. No internet - one computer in the reception hall always out of service. Close to public transport to Malaga (train and bus). Forget lunch and dinner - the hotel should change its chef!... more

Just got back from a four day stay at the El Puerto. This is a low 3* Hotel, however for the price you pay, you could do a lot worse than to stay here. Stayed B&B so cant really comment on the food other that the breakfast was acceptable, same thing every day, eggs, bacon, beans, sausage, tomatoes, cereal, fruit,... more

I have just returned from a girls weekend in Fuengirola and stayed at the El Puerto. Although the rooms were clean, they were very basic, having a threadbare carpet and minimal furniture. The balcony's were an abundance of concrete, although we had great views across the pool, beach and sea. Found that everybody congregated in the square opposite (not sure... more

Myself and four friends have just returned from a four night stay at the El Puerto. (It was my Hen Do!) We got a good deal with Alpharooms-£19 per night B&B-this being three sharing a room.(the third bed being a camp bed) I did request a sea view but we were given two rooms at the back of the hotel,... more

Good Location and well priced. I was with a party of golfers, so was no suprised to find our rooms facing inland. The hotel was very clean, large groups of locals staying there. the rooms were on the small side One of the rooms was booked for three, which took two with a push. We were unable to move to... more
