Would highly recommend staying at the Casa da Levada. Luis and Maria are extremely charming hosts. We stayed in beautiful historical rooms. I believe the property is over 300 years and has been in Luis's family since that time. Its origins go back to the 17th century. We were for 4 nights in Casa de Levada and had a wonderful staying. Maria and Louis were perfect for me, my wife and Lorenzo (3 years old). the place is quiteful and relaxed, so ancient that some people still wash the clothes in the public swim. A wonderful two night stay was far too short. Maria and Louis were the perfect hosts - knowledgable, enthusiastic, discreet and friendly. This was our first real B&B experience in someone else's home and wow, what a home! The place is stunning, but offers all the creature comforts you could need.
