I stayed in this hotel for 2 hens parties and had a great time. The night club on the premise is brilliant, the staff were nice and the location was great. Perfect for a cheap night away to get out with the girls. I wouldn't stay here for a weekend break but i would go back to party and it... more

We went to Mullingar the May bank holiday weekend. We booked the Greville because we got a great deal - 185 euro for 3 night b&b and 2 evening meals. We thought the meals wouldn't be great because of the cheap price but we were wrong! From start to finish the meals were supurb! The room was standard enough -... more

The thing is that this hotel is right in the centre of the town, couldn't be a better location. It has an inviting look from the outside and gets a lot of customers traipsing through so it can't be short of a few bob. However, it would appear that it hasn't been updated since Adam was a chap. Money is... more

i had the misfortune to stay here on the 15th of december.i joined this website just to tell you all to avoid this place. the rooms stunk of tobacco even though i asked for a non-smoking room.the receptionist really gave service with a snarl.the breakfast was a disgrace.it was dirty and to cap it all the sound proofing seems to... more

I went to Mullingar for a weekend with two of my friends. A lot of the hotels in the town are very expensive but this was a lot more reasonable. its literally in the centre of town were you can just walk everywhere and not have to drive. the lounge area is lovely with friendly staff but my favourite area... more

Never has a hotel promised so much - and delivered so little. From the street; a charming country inn. From the room; a disgusting motel stuck in a seventies time warp - though I assume the cigarette burns on the bed cover were more recent. The room stank of stale bodies and cigarette smoke; and overlooked the car park. No... more

I was in Mullingar for a function recently and this seemed like the place to stay. I had been in the town many times before over the years and always remembered that the Greville Arms, from the outside, had a look of 'classic town centre' hotel, something most towns in England and Ireland possess. It was an impressive looking building... more

A group of 45 of us spent 5 nights at the Greville Arms recently (May 2008). Overall we were quite satisfied with the hotel - the rooms were fine - the decor, colour of the bathroom suites etc, were a bit dated and the dining room had a touch of faded glory about it - the foyer and reception area... more

I stayed at the greville only last week. i rang and asked about the rooms after i read the reviews and i had been assured they had been done up in the previous year. not only had i been lied to but the absolute state of the room we stayed in leaves a lot to be desired. there were also... more
