Well, i decided to book this hotel as part of a pigsback deal and considering i came all the way from Cork, tI was disappointed to do all that mileage for the hotel not to meet any of the expectations it portrayed on their website. it is not the romantic place it thinks it is and it needs a lot... Stayed here for the easter weekend. 2 nights. Found the room and bathroom to be spacious and clean. Hotel in general was lovely and breakfast was ok not overly hot as it ws a buffet. Why i say i wouldnt rate it as a 4 star hotel is there were a few holes in the sheets and no wifi available... More

My husband and I spent two very comfortable nights here. The staff were excellent- especially reception, leisure center, and the manager who dealt with a "free bottle of sparkling wine" mistake with such charm- he was a real pro! We were greeted really warmly at breakfast (which was very tasty and had a decent mix of choices and nice coffee)... More

We had our wedding in the Abbey in March of this year. It's taken until now to speak to family and friends and get a general idea of what everyone else thought of their experience at our wedding and at the Abbey. As a wedding couple who had the best day of our lives, we felt that the overall service... More

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked three nights in this hotel last summer. On arrival I just nealry cried, when we walked through the front doors there was a stale smell, that would most definately put you off your food, needless to say we did not eat there. We were grreted by a very unpleasent member of staff! When we... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are very sorry that your stay with us last August was disappointing. As a small family run hotel we take time to ensure that all our guests are as comfortable as possible during their time here. Your review centres mainly on your bedroom which I gather may have been... More

I was attending a wedding and saw this 4 star hotel on the internet. From the photos I thought my children would love to stay in a castle, but when we got there we were very disappointed. The nicest part of the hotel is the part that they show in all of their photos (the tiny front enterance that looks... More

I stayed here while on business in the town. I called in on spec and found that there were rooms available so I booked in. The foyer was quite old but in keeping with the outside of the hotel. When iwent to the bedroom I steped back into the ark ages. it was so dated it was unbelievable. The bed... More

it was through a deal so in that respect it was value for money. I would have been really put out if I had paid full price. Decor very dated, holes in the blankets in the room. The leisure area is a disaster. 80s style changing rooms and sauna/plunge pool, horribly outdated. The pool had most of the tiles missing... More

Myself and friend went here for 1 night after buying the €69 one night B&B deal on Dealrush.ie (4 Star Abbey Hotel 1 Night B&B + Bottle of Sparkling Wine on Arrival + Dressing Gown and Slippers in your room PLUS Full Access to Award Winning Spa & Leisure Facilities). Having read on Tripadvisor some comments about other hotels who... More

I stayed here on the recommendation of a company I was visiting, in the middle of nowhere. Roscommon was easy enough to find, and the hotel turned out to be just outside the town centre. Not that you'd know it, there was no noise, and the grounds are lovely. All the photos of the hotel give you the most elegant... More
