Came over from the UK recently looking for accommodation and stayed at this great hotel. Country house atmosphere with idyllic sea views. The staff couldn't do enough to help. From early morning tranquillity looking out over the sea to an evening sundowner on the seaside terrace or in the bar, it's no wonder everyone we met locally speaks fondly of... More

Had lunch at Bayview hotel today, beautiful day and looked forward to dine al fresco. Lunch was fresh and tasty, portions were small, view was amazing, however, the service was sub standard. While there appeared to be plenty of waiting staff, they seemed under pressure and unhelpful. My partner and I were told we could sit at an available table... More

Just enjoyed a three night stay in this beautiful hotel. Arrived in much need of a little R and R and TLC and this hotel really delivered. Perfect location overlooking the sea to sit, read, eat etc. Spotlessly clean and comfortable throughout. Lovely area outside in front with tables and chairs from which to savour the views and the delicious... More

The Bayview Hotel in Ballycotton has it all - a fantastic location on the side of a cliff with beautiful gardens tiered down to the sea, there is even a swimming platform out into the sea for the more adventurous! The food, wines & ambiance are great, all very warm and comforting with the best of attentive staff, I couldn't... More

stayed here one night, restaurant was closed, but bar served the same food. bar tables was very low so not too comfortable eating there. Food was fresh fish from the harbour 300 m away. rooms overlook the stunning bay. service was excellent both at check-in, dinner and breakfast, they couldnot have been more helpful.

I found the hotel a complete let down, not to mention rip off at 170euro for a basic room. Having read the reviews was sure I was heading for a lovely stay. The room decor is minimal no four star that's for sure. The so called balcony is more like a doorstep. I booked a superior room, very disappointing. The room still... More

Just home from our second stay, just booked a third. Location unsurpassed with stunning views of Ballycotton lighthouse and harbour. Staff are wonderful without imposing, totally natural. Can't recommend highly enough, for that break away from the usual hustle and bustle. Bring your walking shoes for the local clifftop walks, breathtaking. Only negative - dining a little pricey....... If you're... More

I stayed here with my wife while visiting in laws and the place was amazing. From the moment we checked in we felt at home and the staff were probably the best we have come across and we travel frequently. The hotel itself has amazing views and situated in a village that time has forgot. It's very old fashioned almost... More

I didn't stay in this hotel so I can't rate the accomodation but the staff are excellent. We stopped at the hotel before a wedding locally and the lady at reception was extremely pleasant. She managed to get a sandwich for us even though they weren't officially serving food yet and couldn't have been any nicer. The location is superb,... More

This is a beautiful old world hotel. Ballycotton, itself is a lovely village. The views are just superb. It was a lovely quiet peaceful stay just what we wanted. We also visited the Schooner bar which is very modern, beautiful but yet welcoming. We did many things such as the cliff walk, visited Ballymaloe cookery school, the Kilkenny shop in... More
