Just opposite the famous pseudo craters of Myvatn. Spacious room with a nice view over the lake and the craters. We stayed here two nights in early July, 2008 for vacation. Friendly staff. What a hidden treasure this Hotel is. It is run very professionally yet extremely friendly at the same time. The hotel rooms are excellent, perhaps the sinks are a little small but that is a very minor criticism compared with all the strong plusses for this hotel and staff. Stayed two nights in october, cant complaint about the room as it was a good size. staff were helpful. the best thing about the hotel was the cafeteria attached which served tasty but cheap food. the water from the taps /shower in the room tasted and smelt funny - i assume it was something to do with the volcanic activity... more
