This little hotel is located on the pier of Gythion. It is quite small (only 4 or 5 rooms), with an old-fashionned vibe, but very welcoming. The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a bit of disappointment, with barely warm water during our stay. We were warned when we arrived it would take some time... More

Really big room where there was lots of space to pull up a couple of suitcases and still move freely. A very high ceiling too. Shower where the water is not poured out over the toilet and the floor (which otherwise is so common in Greece). Great friendly staff who gave tips on restaurants, bars and more. Perfect location right... More

My wife and stayed in this hotel from 24th to 30th Aug 2011 and used it as a base to explore the Mani area of the Peloponnes. The hotel is in an old converted and elegant building and the room was large ,well equipped and ours had a small balcony overlooking the harbour. It is a small hotel ..about 6... More

I stayed at this hotel in July of 2011 and had a great time. Hotel is perfectly located in center of town. If you get a balcony room you get a great view of harbor. Spacious rooms and very clean. Bathroom is small but clean. Continental breakfast in morning was nice. Would definetly stay again.

This is a traditional greek hotel, very clean and spacious rooms though the hotel is not new. The highlight is the staff and the greek hospitality that they provide. They really go out of their way to make you comfortable. I visited Gythio on my way to a wedding in Kythira, I had already been in several other places in... More

Gythion Hotel is located on the waterfront half way between the ferry dock and the KTEL bus "station". Ideal for those of us traveling by ferry, bus and foot. The hotel has only 7 rooms, really 5 rooms and 2 apartments. Our room, 24, was quite large with a small balcony where we could sit and enjoy the view over... More

Walking into Gythion hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome from the reception. The staff is very kind and enthusiastic about your comfortability during your stay. Location is perfect as you get a clear view of the Aegean Sea and are nearby the local bakery, restaurants and shops. On top of all this you get a complimentary breakfast that... More

The price and location can't be beat. We doorknocked on several hotels on the waterfront stretch in this charming little town and this hotel was our pick initially just based on the cheaper price and a positive feel about the hotel (it is smaller than it's neighbours). We were given two large and very clean rooms with balconies overlooking the... More

If you squint at this place you will be able to imagine all the 19th and early 20th century Grand Tour visitors who would pass through Gythio on their way to other spots in the Mani and the Pelopponese. Indeed this little port has changed little since that time, as you will see in the old photos in the lobby.... More
