We visited Kalavrita to travel on the rack and pinion railway through the Vouraikos Gorge (very good but quite expensive) and also the excellent Cave of the Lakes. The hotel was very quiet and the rooms were spacious with coffee making facilities. The breakfast was also one of the better ones we had in Greece.

We spend just 1 night in this hotel. Rooms were nice - everything was clean and cosy. Our room was comfortably heated. Breakfast was just ok. Hotel staff were not the friendliest we've seen, but it was good enough for a short stay. There is a spa service that we didn't use (I find that remarkable for a budget hotel).
