The chateau and the grounds are beautiful. You can see horses and a relaxing landscape from your window. There is a large outdoor pool with seating to relax. The rooms are huge with classic French decor. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. It had a soaking tub and toilette. The hotel restaurant has seating on an enclosed patio and... More

The hotel is in a very rural and quiet location, but without any special views. My room was not quiet however - I could hear the couple next door. The house is full of character, but the bathroom was a bit tired. Service at dinner was haphazard. This place could be a handy stopover point, but, to be honest, I... More

We had a very enjoyable stay with our 5 year old son, enjoying the aristocratic surroundings and food, yet tempered by a familial atmosphere, surrounded by opportunity for outdoor pursuits. The formal French restaurant is the beating heart of this chateau with a selection of traditional dishes and wine at fair prices. The the rooms are elegant and spacious with... More

The map provided on the site was not detailed enough, however we didn't make one wrong turning. There are signs to the hotel and once you arrive, you don't want to leave! We usually stay in 5star hotels, but we were overwhelmed by the beauty and tranquility of this 3star hotel accompained by the unforgettable hospitality shown by the Bergeron... More

If you look in the dictionary, "rapee" means "threadbare or worn out", and at one level, that is partly true. The place would benefit from some investment and tasteful modernisation. It would then feel justified in charging at least twice as much as it does now, but would risk losing some of its charm and character. The photographs give a... More

This impressive 19th century hotel offers a wonderfully peaceful setting, good service and delicious food. Once you have found this family run hotel hidden in the countryside (head for Bazincourt-sur-Epte and take a small side road, or check out google directions) you can relax by the pool or under the trees on the comfortable loungers. Our room was lovely, well furnished,... We stayed here for one night with our baby In August - they were very accommodating with a travel cot etc. The hotel is in pretty grounds, with a nice pool, but the rooms themselves are very old-fashioned and need updating. The restaurant was good, we sat on a covered terrace for dinner and it was very romantic. Similar to... More

I am an avid fan of France and have had the pleasure of meeting Richard Binns who was renowned for his knowledge of all that is good about French hotels ad restaurants. Unfortunately, I had the mistaken belief of reading a review regarding Chateau Hotel De La Rapee which led me to believe I was going to a magnificent, quiet... More

We spent one night at the Chateau (that is not really a Chateau, but a mansion), while looking for a relaxing weekend in the countryside, playing golf and a short drive away from Paris. Since we were travelling with our 9 months old baby we needed a hotel that has a good restaurant onsite, not too far away from the... More

Our stay in Chateau de la Rapee has prompted me to write my "first ever" review in Trip Advisor. Due to a number of problems - getting lost being one--we arrived at C de La R at about 7 p.m. and got the last available room in the Chateau for 115 euros. We opted for the all-inclusive - room, dinner... More
