The best Hotel if you are traveling to Nagarkot. It is located high on a hill (higher than other hotels around it), having fantastic views over the Himalayan range. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly, rooms are clean and as we were traveling in the spring, the garden was full of flowers. It's a magical, cozy place. Make... More

I arrived here with a group about 5.00pm, its high up in the hills with lovely views over the Himalayas. Most of the hotels around have roof top viewing. The hotel has a main building which all our group were in, or there were chalets in the grounds. Only problem, no lift, so all the bags etc., had to be carried... More

After a long way uphill,we arrived in the fort resort in the twilight. We got the rooms at the top floor. The rooms are very clean, although a little old.Included in the room charge, the dinner and breakfast are also nice. There is heating in the rooms.Outside the hotel, there is a big beautiful gardon with much flowers. Also you can see many kinds of birds flying... Stayed for one night in Dec 2011. Recommended by my driver/guide. Twin rooms are rather small compared to typical hotels in Nepal. Comes with good hot shower (after 8.30 pm though) and staff provide hot water bottles and gas heaters too. Service is quite average except for one or two friendly staff. Quite pricey for the average food and service.... More

Stayed only for one night (Dec.30) and I wished to stay more. We were assigned to the Cottage 201. It was big, with one double bed in the main room and another single in the living room. It has plenty of natural light but at night could be a little bit darker. It's a good idea to bring your own... More

We stayed this hotel for one night and the experience was memorable. Mountain peaks are clearly visible from the hotel. Room was clean but insufficient light. Hotel management should think to improve their facilities especially for kids. I point should flagged up- Food: Buffet items could be improved.

We were not lucky enough to see the view, but the found the hotel charming anyway. Yes, the cottage had a heater; yes, the bathroom was not as clean as we would have hoped for but certainly cleaner than most we encountered in Nepal; and yes, the hotel buffet was dismal...but by candlelight, we could make do with rice, spaghetti,... Beautiful highland hotel with cozy boutqiue rooms. Very romantic with wonderful mountain views. Well worth money spent. Every room was set in a private enclave and offered a beautiful view of the mountains.

The Fort in Nagarkot was our best experience in Nepal when it comes to hotel. Nagarkot has nothing much to see if not for the right selection of a hotel. Our tour guide was indeed efficient when he chose The Fort for us. Its an experience in itself for sure. We reached The Fort in the evening and loved the... More

This place sits on fabulous grounds but is very poorly managed. The only food option at dinner is an overpriced buffet. Too bad the management doesn't know what they are doing. My wife and I arrived and were given single beds - ??? Way overpriced for what they offer.
