Stayed overnight with my family while visiting the Grand Canyon. This hotel is in the perfect location, right down the road from the park entrance. Plenty of shops and restaurants right across the street. Extremely clean room, super soft and comfy beds. Great hot breakfast in the morning. All the staff in the resort were extremely pleasant and greeted you with a smile. Would stay here again and recommend the hotel to friends and family. More

If you can't plan your trip to the Grand Canyon months in advance to grab a lodge room in the park itself, this is a viable option. The main thing it has going for it is its location. It's just a mile from the park entrance and is within walking distance to the free Tusayan shuttle into the park. That said, at the time we booked these rooms (May 12-14, 2012), they were the same... I stayed at the Holiday Inn express Grand Canyon. It is only 1 mile from the south rim park entrance. There are good restaurants in the area. The hotel was clean, nice, and well maintained. There was no problems with my reservation or entire stay. More

Our mid-winter stay at Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon was pleasant and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, happy to make suggestions for the best sights to see. The ground-floor rooms looked to be undergoing renovations, however we weren't disturbed by noise. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub after a long day's hiking, and the hotel's location in the village made it very convenient to nearby restaurants and food outlets.... More

Yes, the rooms are a bit more outdated than most holiday inn expresses, but it's comfortable, clean, a 5 minute drive from te grand canyon, and has holiday inn expresses free hot breakfast! We stayed in the suite building which had its own breakfast setup ( very quiet, always a place to sit) and did not think it was inconvenient. It being in te main building at all. Would stay here again. More

We stayed for 2 nights with my kids. The breakfast were good and since food is really expensive in the park that was a HUGE PLUS!! The location is perfect just few minutes to the park entrance. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. If you have kids make sure you take enough snack in your backpack. We would stay here again. More

We stayed the first part of May and were able to get a room that night, but during the summer they do sell out weeks in advance so plan ahead. We asked for a quiet room and was at first disappointed that we were in the first room closest to the road. However, it wasn't noisy at all! Road noise shouldn't be a concern here as much as people noise. This is a large motel... More

It may not be the most modern HIE but its definitely worth staying here. The rates we paid for our two rooms were very reasonable. The breakfasts were excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. More

We stayed in a King Suites, and those are all in a separate building from the main hotel. I can't speak to the rooms and service at the main bldg., but it looked newer and nicer when we checked in. Our room was mediocre and a step down from what I expect from a Holiday Inn Express. It was clean enough, but nothing spectacular and there was no front desk to easily get amenities, extra... More

We asked for a quiet room as there was construction going on about 150 feet away. Our room was very quiet and comfortable -- mini suite. Wonderful breakfast - the food just kept on coming and the waiters were nice. Only 1 negative - they do not have a guest washer/dryer room and was sent to the Best Western. The dryers there did not work very well and after 1.5 hours in the dryer we... More
