We were greeted by a gentleman that needed to have a smile on his face, the room was average for this very over priced hotel. The toilet seat was cracked, had studs missing off it, the bath was chipped and scratched, the lock on the door needed replacing, the vanity taps were loose, some power point hanging loose off the... the air conditioner was not working properly, wifi signal was weak and unrelialbe in an area where data signal is nearly non existent, and the beds smelled dusty. No breakfast included and the paid breakfast was not very good either. I had a much better experience staying at the holiday inn express next door. More

First thing to know : it's very difficult to book a hotel near the Grand Canyon Park entrance. So now that you know that you understand why the price is so expensive for what you get at the end! They don't need YOU, if you don't book there someone else will ;). That being said, the woman at the front... More

Worst hotel layout ever (main building). Big interior courtyard but entrances to the rooms/elevators/stairs/ice machines are all on the outside of the hotel. Lots of going in and out to get anywhere. Wireless in room nonexistant. Staff says come to the front desk to sign in but reception was worse there. Expensive, not great restaurant. Coupon for breakfasts but it... More

I stayed here for two night for my honeymoon in April 2011. I booked our stay direct with the hotel. Communication with the staff via email was good and with a few emails our two night stay was booked. As we were coming from Australia and were spending 5 weeks in America I wanted to organise payment before arrival. I... More

After trying to find a hotel for hours around the South Rim, we finally made our reservations at the Canyon Plaza Resort. If you've never been to the Grand Canyon, finding this hotel will be hard, as it took me 20 mins to finally realize that it was behind the IMAX theatre. Once at the check-in, the desk clerk was... Our sheets were not fresh. Pillow had mascara on it. Towels were old, thin and scratchy. Floor had not been vacuumed properly. We had reserved three rooms and none were together -- one was on different floor. Soap scum in shower soap dish along with hair in the shower. There was a strange hair also on the night stand. Free... More

Considering this hotel is right outside of the Grand Canyon entrance and compared to other hotels in the area, this place is not bad. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. It would be nice if they offered free continental breakfast but they offer breakfast buffet for $12 and I personally feel it is not worth it (definitely... More

This was a pleasant stay for our trip to the grand canyon. It was not too far to drive. The hotel itself was clean and adequate. The rooms were alrifht size with 2 double beds. The restaurant buffet was nice and the staff were helpful. The hotel is close if you want to do helicopter tours over the canyon. More
