Everything has been said about the view an it is true. It is fantastic ! The hotel is certainly not the Waldorf in NY but the rooms are pretty big with a very sympathetic bathroom and very well maintained. Breakfast is served with an excellent home made bread and, that must be underlined, the coffee is a real morning coffee... more

After a frustrating transport from Coban, we arrived after dark at Lomas Tzunana. The hotel is set about 300 meters above the lake with a great view. A local friend arranged for a group of us to go there because of the location. Truly amazing view, but everywhere around Lake Atitlan has a pretty amazing view. Let's face it, AMAZING place. The 400+ steps were rough, but doable with the many resting areas cut into the mountainside. Pool was really nice and welcomed after the steps. But... more

I can't say enough about this place. In all my travels (significant), I have stayed in few places with a view like this. Lomas de Tzununa exceed all my expectations. The rooms were great with everyone offering phenomenal views of the lake, surrounding landscape and volcanos. I can't imagine that there is another place on the lake with such beautiful... more

i was here for four nights in december, staying with a friend of mine, though i definitely reccomend going with husband wife girlfriend - such a stunning spot on the right side of the lake to see everything - the views when the sun goes down are ridiculous - and floor to ceiling windows in your room let you enjoy... more

All the great reviews I'd read about Lomas de Tzununa on TripAdvisor were spot on. It's in a gorgeous location, each room has amazing views, though actually the 'rooms' are in pairs of semi-detached cabanas so it was more private and spacious than I'd expected.
