The last stop on our Costa Rica adventure was the perfect ending to a wonderful holiday. Absolutely beautiful setting, super knowledgeable guides, and a great host. The trip in from Sierpe was a great way to arrive, helpful to be prepared for the fact that your landing is straight off the boat and onto the beach - no jetty so... More

A tropical paradise for those who enjoy the simplest pleasures in life. Comfortable, clean accomodations, friendly knowledgable host & guide and amazingly good food. We loved hanging out on the point with it's great view of Drake Bay and cooling breeze after our days exploring the coastal jungle. Awake to the screams of Howler monkeys and the chatter of parakeets.... More

The cabin was tiny but clean and comfortable with a good bathroom and lots of privacy and a nice garden beside it - had the feel of a tree-house. The beach in front is great for swimming and snorkelling and the coastal trail takes you to secluded and stunning beaches. Scarlet macaws fly over you as you hike, swim or... More

My wife and I have traveled to Costa Rica but have never been to the Osa Peninsula. We only had a week so we spent half of it in Dominical and the other half here in the Osa. We picked this place because of the great reviews on TripAdvisor. It was a fantastic choice for us. We stayed for two... More

Las Caletas isn't for everyone. First off it's hard and expensive to get to. You have to fly in because there are no roads to the lodge. Second - you do a beach landing from the water taxi so be prepared to get wet. Lastly and perhaps most important is that you are completely isolated from the outside world; you... More

My wife and I stayed for nearly a week in Las Caletas at Christmas, 2011, until New Year's Eve. We feel so very lucky to have chosen this place!, and having had a chance during our week to get to know the place well, I can't imagine returning to this area and staying anywhere else. We stayed in one of... More

My wife and I just returned from Las Caletas after a week in their their tent cabins. We changed our itenerary after arriving and requested an additional 2 days. David did everything in his power to accomodate our request including moving all our personal belongings from one tent to the other while we were out on our daily adventure. The... More

We stayed at Las Caletas in 1994 and finally had a chance to return in January. This place was still just as wonderful as it was all those years ago. The staff and Jolanda were friendly and helpful, the food was tasty, the sleeping space comfy, and nice birding from the lawn. Couldn't ask for more. Oh, and they served... More

We were very fortunate to spend a week over the holiday season with our family at Las Caletas. We love Costa Rica- everything about it- and this was our third time in Drake Bay. We have stayed in 5 other lodges in the Drake Bay area, and Las Caletas is by far the best. Everything ran smoothly, from land and... More
