My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Briar Patch Inn near Sedona. I agree that it's a little pricy - but we were willing to splurge for two nights after spending the rest of our vacation in regular hotels with busloads of other tourists. The place is truly lovely and was a peaceful retreat after dealing with... more

The Ponderosa cottage at the Briar Patch Inn was the venue for a four-day reunion of eight old friends who had bicycle-toured together in 1980. We couldn't have found a better place to meet and get reacquainted. The Ponderosa cottage was spacious with plenty of living space and facilities for cooking, eating, and relaxing. The staff was friendly, flexible, and... more

The Briar Patch Inn is nothing short of wonderful. Imagine waking up in your rustic cabin, walking by the wooded areas to a gourmet AND healthy breakfast served on the banks of bubbling Oak Creek, with background provided by friendly and excellent musicians. Yoga in the meadow. A massage in the outdoor private space. Exploring the natural wonders of Sedona... more

We stayed at the two bedroom Heron cabin. A path to Oak Creek and a swimming hole was just outside the door. The cabin was fully furnished with a rustic decor with slate floors. There were many places to sit under the trees by the cabin including a large swing and hammock. A superb breakfast was included each morning consisted... more

My "other half" said, "I want to go hiking in the woods, somewhere pretty, near water/a creek, with a rustic place to stay." We travel frequently, usually to urban places (i.e. we are spoiled on service and accomodations), so Sedona's Briarpatch and a nearby hike have been a PERFECT fit! As others say, it's not the cheapest place in Sedona,... more

We booked a two night stay at the Briar Patch Inn B&B in Sedona August 4-6, 2009. We had three cabins for a group of 8 friends. The place is located in Oak Creek Canyon a few miles outside of the hustle and bustle of Sedona. The place is rustic, incredibly green and quiet. First, I want to thank the... more

Wonderful location, so lush and tree-filled with the creek down below the breakfast patio. Very hospitable folk taking care of everything. Superb home-made "good for you!" breakfasts are an excellent start to set you up for your day in red-rock country which is so accessible from here. We visited with friends who took Owl while we had Sparrow. We were... more

If individual cabins tucked along side a bustling creek sounds nice, then punch your ticket. The staff is over-the-top nice and the facilities are quiet and top notch. Lots of greenery and little paths wander over the grounds and they have a couple of sheep that free range in the middle of the facility. The sheep are the closest thing... more

The Briar Patch Inn was better than we expected. Beautiful, quiet setting along Oak Creek. The cabins are quaint, rustic, very clean, with comfortable beds, clean sheets. The shower stall is very small, but this is a minor inconvenience. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfasts are wonderful -- food is excellent, good variety of items. Would highly... more
