I joined my sister on a recent conference. Overall experience was poor at best. * Concierge advice was not always helpful. Three different prices were quoted on transportation to the airport via two recommended services. I was handed a card to call and arrange my own transportation from to North Scottsdale with Execucar. I had to step outside to make... More

Walking into the resort was a disappointing experience. Based on what I'd read, I thought the casino area was separate from the hotel, but it's not. You walk right into casino chaos to get to the check-in desk. And it's not smoke-free, of course, so it stinks. We arrived early, and sat outside to kill some time before check-in. I... More

Once again, we ventured to this hotel for a mini vacation. Free room for 2 nights. They do check your room key which is nice when you go to the room elevators. Staff for the most part are quite nice. If you want good service, go during the week and stay away from baseball spring training which is across the... More

I stayed here several nights earlier this month for a conference. I arrived arround 9PM and was told the only thing that was available was a handicap room. While the room was nicely appointed, I noticed that I was lacking certain amenities like the rainfall shower head in lieu of a hand held variety. What surprised me was the stingy... More

Highly recommend upgrading to an executive king. The balcony and doors and views were outstanding. The room was very quiet at night (which is very important to me). I was initially a little disappointed to find out about the summer weekend pool parties. My friend and I hit the pool while our husbands golfed and it was pretty crazy, but... More

Our stay was just after the busy season, or so we were told. We had read reviews bashing the service. Our service was terrific, from the front desk, to pool attendants/servers, to the concierge. We did get a good deal on the daily price but expected them to make up for it other ways. We were wrong. We felt the... More

I like the resort and the great golf. Clean, lots of restaurants and bars, OK prices. Golf is amazing. The only downside is its a casino and the casino allows smoking. It got very smokey when I was there which is a turnoff. Good for a couples or guys/girls getaway but I wouldnt take my kids.

Couldn't take the extra time to get out of town for our 35th anniversary, so we thought we'd try out the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale for a long weekend. If gambling is your thing, you'd probably be better served in Vegas or Laughlin, but this property is absolutely beautiful, the room (be sure to pay for a small upgrade... More

Normally I stay at the Ritz Carlton but it was booked. I am down in this area all the time on business and Talking Stick is my new place to stay! Being from Las Vegas - the fact that it is a casino doesn't matter to me. May not matter to you either as there seems to be all kinds... More
