This La Quinta is suffering what a lot of the La Quinta's across the country are....it is in dire need of some updating. The carpets were worn thing and the drapes were ripped off and hanging off the rods. The bathroom was really outdated. The towels were really thin. This wasn't a bad hotel to stay at. I arrived about 11pm for a two day stay. Quick, friendly check in with no problems. Both rooms I booked were ready for me when I arrived. We stayed at the La Quinta Thomas road for three nights after flying into Phoenix Airport for the start of a 3 week trip through California. In general the hotel was ok and reasonably clean. Very average Spartan rooms. Neighborhood is grim, expect hookers and other low lifes. Other than a Denny's and a Macdonald's in the nearby Chevron station, you are SOL for food.
