January 31 2012 we DROVE to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. This 18 miles of dirt road are worth all...the beauty of the drive and then at the end is that you stand by the Colorado River!! It feels like you are going back in time. WOW More

There are 2 things to do out there, which the title says it all. Other than that, there are really no other hotels to stay in...that's why this is rated #1. Service was "spotty". They initially messed up my reservations, but the woman checking me in was very nice and took care of it. All other staff members I encountered... More

My wife and I stayed 1 night on our way to the Grand Canyon. The motel and rooms were well maintained and clean. The food in the restaurant was about average. I had a burger that seemed to be a frozen patty but the toppings were all fresh. The continental breakfast was typical fare. About half the staff were indifferent... More

I booked our rooms through a booking agency- I wouldn't do that again. The booking was for 2 rooms w/ queen size beds. What we got was 2 rooms with full beds, I talked to the desk clerk to find out where our queens were, she said y the time they had gotten the reservation from the booking agency they... More

We stopped at the Hualapai Lodge for one night on our way to Havasu Falls as it would limit our morning drive (to about one hour to Havasu Hilltop) for our trek down to the falls in Supai. The online reservation system isn’t exactly clear on the room rates or packages included. Upon check-in, we were very surprised at the... More

I would definitely rate this lodge higher if it wasn't for the train noise which carries on, complete with loud whistle, throughout the night. A modern lodge, very tastefully presented, with large, clean rooms. The pool was well maintained. We found the restaurant very good value for money. I particularly liked the cushions and bedcovers, with the traditional native American... More

Pros Reasonable rooms. Nice pool and spa. Small but well equipped gym. Is also pick up point for Grand Canyon excursions. Cons Expensive due to lack of competition. Staff seem disinterested and distant. No facilities in town - no shops or other restaurants. Average restaurant/ average service. Train noise - sometimes every 15 mins. Doesn't serve alcohol and location is... More

Awesome time rafting on the Colorado. We took the Hualapai River Runners motorized rafting tour starting in the morning after staying at the lodge and enjoyed almost every minute. Complimentary hot breakfast was impressive and a good start to the day, the coffee was actually faIrly strong and other meals were hearty and well-made at the other times we ate... More

I went there with a friend and i have to admit that the personnel at the front desk could sometimes be rather rude or verynice (depends on the person). We went back again without reservation and the personel was nicer (they have to warm up to you I guess). The rooms are clean, very confortable. The train is passing by... More

I'd say it's a nicely constructed lodge with mediocre, edible food; a good continental breakfast; and pretty rude desk clerks. Virtually no room cleaning service if you're staying 2 days. First time I'd seen that in lots of traveling. But a good idea if taking the river rafting trip. Stay both before and after. More
