The motel was a nice three star place. Clean and comfortable. The problem was that some people must think other travelers like to hear their dogs yap on and on for two or more hours. I think the least the motel could do is to either have these people take care of their animals or have them leave.

Staff was very nice when checking in. We stayed in one of the single level upgraded (spa tub, fireplace) rooms. Property is very attractive, clean and well managed. Rates are reasonable. The setting is forest-like and very relaxing. Many interesting side-trips into the surrounding Tonto National Forest are right at-hand and an extra day for exploring is advised.

We had a family emergency in the Payson area and it required a overnight stay. i wasn't quite sure what I would find at the last minute. I've stayed in Payson quite a few times and I'm not sure how I never noticed this place before. This place is my go-to place now. Comfortable, quiet, serene. I love the little patios in the back.

While the Majestic Mountain Inn is not necessarily majestic itself, it offers pleasant rooms and a nice, quiet location. I liked the layout of the inn and it's proximity to a decent steakhouse. This is the perfect getaway Inn. Especially in the winter as their upgraded rooms have spas and fireplaces. I would suggest to always pay the extra for the upgraded room ~ it is well worth the extra money.
