Savaiian hotel is set in simple gardens (with chicken roaming) about 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. It is well looked after and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a simple room with fan (non/ac) and with attached bathroom which was fine for me. There are more luxurious ac rooms available for a 'splurge'. Food... More

Note that the Savaiian is titled a "hotel" rather than a "resort". If you are looking to escape to a quiet intimate and remote resort, then look to the other more expensive resorts further north. However, if you are interested in exploring Savaii, then the Savaiian Hotel is a good base. The rooms and facilities are basic but adequate especially... More

We arrived early in the morning a day before easter weekend and just missed morning breakfast which was disappointing as we were to discover later that the chef is a great cook.(thanks Poi). We have regular trips to Samoa every year and this year decided to actually have a holiday with my family and stay at a hotel in Savaii... More

We chose this spot because it was close to the wharf for our return ferry back to Upolu. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly lady named Utu. She catered to all of our needs and overall we had a wonderful stay. Upsides: kayaks and snorkels for rental, and some great mini-islands to kayak to out... More

The Savaiian Hotel is a piece of Samoan paradise you’ll remember forever. Awake every morning to a spectacular light show as the sun rises above the adjacent island of Upolu. With the Pacific Ocean on your doorstep you can swim, snorkel, take a kayak for a cruise, or relax in a hammock with a book. Our comfortable unit had everything... More

Wonderful experience from the minute we were picked up from the ferry terminal to being welcomed at Savaiian Hotel...friendly staff and owners, all so willing to please, and always ready to help out with local knowledge. We stayed in an air-conditioned, front row room which was spacious and clean. Great views of the waterfront although not really a swimming beach...canoes... More

Me and my 13 year old niece stayed for about 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the air-con bungalow's which was satisfactory and serviced well. The view from the bungalow was primo! The restaurant meals were niceeeeee and filling! We were given sightseeing options from Poi, one of... More

We stayed here for about 5 days and absolutely loved it. It was very affordable, we stayed in both the fale and air conditioned rooms (got a bit sick so was room bound for a couple of days). The rooms were also very clean and tidy. The staff here are sooo lovely and were always around to help out however... More

My wife Beatrice and I have been serveral times and weeks travelling in the South Pacific. But it is hard to find a better service, food, location and friendlier staff then at the Savaiian Hotel. Thank you and good bye.
