“Charming and chic eco hostel”

La Casa Verde was easily our favorite hostel of our 8 weeks of travel through South America. We originally booked for 3 nights, but couldn't bring ourselves to leave...ended up staying 7! We stayed in Casa Verde for 5 nights in a superior room in May 2012 and loved it! More like staying with friends-of-friends than in a hotel/hostel. “A great place to stay!”

We had a delightful stay at Casa Verde! Rebecca and Doug were super friendly, welcoming and helpful and the breakfast and other meals available were all delicious and home cooked. We felt very much "ät home" and highly recommend their eco-hostel.

I'm an American living in Ecuador and I've been to Banos a couple of times. The first time I stayed at a ridiculously-overpriced hotel in town (Sangay) and the second time, THANKFULLY, at Casa Verde.
