I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and the place was located a fair bit away from the main strip which wasnt clear from their website. it was fine - no realy objections but it was lacking any sort of charm or personality. breakfast was ok - not great. service was impersonal.

We are a family travelling together every year in to a diferent continent for 3 months and this Hostera was a great place!! You will feel like home!! The staff are always trying to help you, the rooms are clean and... More

Stay was arranged thru a travel agent - special needs and arrangementpre made were not communicated to staff w.r.t. time and type of meals required. When discussd with management he agreed to provide services as contracted for BUT the information was not transmitted to staff who were rude and even shouted at us when we arrived for breakfast at the... Just returned from a 4 night stay at Posta Sur and it was fine. The room was clean and functional. I don't know what people expect for the price that they paid. We paid $260 U.S for 4 nights. If visitors want to complain then pay $150 U.S and up in order expect near perfection. The breakfast was mostly sweet... More

My husband and I have an ongoing, unresolved debate about the impact of a hotel on your experience in a given place. He values budgetary appeal over charm and aesthetic. I, the opposite. In this instance, Posta Sur made El Calafate feel a bit forgettable and impersonal. We spent the majority of our waking hours visiting the stunning Puerto Merino... More

Was disappointed with this hotel. Firstly, there was a sign at reception advising that it is cash only as the credit card facilities weren't working. Also, the room was ridiculously hot. We stayed for 3 nights and each night the room was too hot which made it difficult to sleep. We asked for a fan (not possible) or any way... More

Was very disappointed with this hotel. They cancelled our reservation and made us stay in a different sister which was located far outside of town, not within walking distance of anything and required a 30 peso taxi ride to get into the town centre. The hotel was not willing to compensate for the inconvenience or cost. As it was the high... More

I had stayed in this hotel for one night before going to El Chalten. The hotel is below average. Very disappointing breakfast, that consisted of corn flakes, yogurt, and very sweet pastries. I also had a confirmed reservation on my way back from El Chalten. Posta Sur cancelled it without any apologies. They own another property, Tehuel Plaza, in the... More

Well located on a quiet gravel road close to the centre. Nice view on the Andes Mountains. Spacious rooms and cosy lounge and garden. Luggage storage is available, usefull if you intent to go to El Chalten for a few days and don't want or cannot take all your luggage with you. The possibly best restaurant of town (La Tablita)... I read the last couple of reviews after I was booked to stay at Hosteria Posta Sur and I got really worried! But my experience really wasn't bad. The hotel was situated 10 minutes from the main street so the location was pretty good. (Its actually very near a recommended restaurant La Tablita). The loo in our room was decent... More
