I recently returned from El Calafate. I stayed in the Posada Los Alamos hotel, which I highly recommend. The restaurant at the hotel has great food and the prices were very reasonable. The hotel is extremely charming, has nicely sized rooms and is very clean. The hotel is just a few blocks from the main street that runs through town,... more

The hotel has great facilities with a fantastic swimming pool. The rooms are confortable but could be renovated a little bit. It has a great location on town, it is just 2 blocks from the main street. We've stayed at the suite, wich had also a nice jacuzzi. more

A three part hotel. Although each part is not too far away from the others. The dining area is over the road from the room sections. As long as it is not raining or cold this is ok, I suppose. You have to be careful in selecting a room. Ours was smallish and dingy with very ilttle light or view... more

It's an excellent choice for people that like to enjoy a very good hotel. Rooms are not big but very comfortable. Service is very good also. I can mention (different from the other review) that I saw 2 and 3 persons in the front desk. Restaurant is excellent. The best patagonic lamb I've ever teasted. Breakfast is also excellent!!! Pool... more

Having looked at some of the reviews about this hotel before traveling, I was very much looking forward to a 5 star experience. To be fair, This may well be the best choice in El Calafate (dont know) but it is NOT a 5 star hotel. On the positive side, the hotel is charming, and the location is great. Breakfast... more

We stayed here for the third time and I can report that it's as good as ever: truly 5-star. Excellent and attentive service, great comfort, nice ambience. The breakfast buffet is superb, offering champagne, freshly cooked eggs, a vast variety of pastries, meats, dairy products, etc. You can even have steak and wine should you fancy it. This is a... more

Reading the other reviews on this hotel, I would say that they were very fair. We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but worth 4. We had a few problems with the drains in the bathroom smelling, but they moved us straight away to a Junior Suite, without charge, and this was of a... more

A comfortable hotel in a good position close to the main town. We were allocated a room in the front of the hotel near reception and could not change it as the hotel was full. Unfortunately all the large tour buses park outside reception with their engines running. We were woken up very early in the morning with groups boarding... more
