We've stayed at Mormon Lake Lodge twice per year since 2007 - at the RV park for 4th of July (because they're one of the few places in northern AZ with fireworks) and in the cabins to enjoy snow in December/January. This place has progressively gotten worse and worse every year! The cabins - Small, old cabines, with broken furniture,... more

We just came home from a great weekend. Booked on a buy one night, get one free in an Elk View private cabin. We had a small child and large dog. Arrived late on a Friday evening (still in what is considered to be off season). The cabin was perfect. Uncomfortable beds, kitchenette enough to toast a bagel and make... more

A group of 12 of us stayed at Mormon Lake over New Year's. Coming from Mesa, it was a short drive and it was so awesome to get up north in the snow! Unreal how much snow they had up there - yet the weather most of the days was nice enough (in the 50's) to sit outside with our... more

I wish I'd read the Trip Advisor reviews before booking this lodging. We stayed one night which was tolerable. The room layout was awkward, the decor was depressing, and the pillows like rocks. Management asked us not to park in front of our duplex so as not to obstruct fire trucks should they be needed! At the restaurant, food was... more

Rustic does not describe it properly. New decorations and curtains would do a lot, but would still not make the room worth the price they charge. The curtains had missing hooks so they sagged in several places. Our room was not cleaned properly, the trash was not taken out each day and the towels were never hung on the towel... more

For a two week trip of the Southwest, this was one of the more dissappointing things our family did. Word to wise, if you find a place online, and have never been, read reviews, call and check things out as much as you can. I read previous negative reviews about this place, and was willing to give it a shot... more

The room we stayed in was very tiny, outdated with broken furniture and non-working appliances. The bathroom was quite large and clean. Our first night there we discovered three small spiders and a forth one that was quite large and crawling up my husbands arm. After being totally freaked out, we plugged in a bedside lamp that shorted out the... more

I love this place. My cabin was very clean and the people were great. I plan on going again this year. The view is great and there is things to do or you can just relax. more

Carpet was stained, furniture worn and tattered, bed worn but linens/bathroom were clean. No thermastat, old electric wall heater. Our cabin didn't come with a fireplace. Cabin was in the middle of others so don't expect seculsion. Restaurant was nice and rustic but wife's food was almost inedible from dryness. more

I have gone here for the past five years with my girlfriends in January and several times as a kid and theres not a bad thing that I could mention. The lodge has commercialized and with this alot more recreational things are available. If your wanting to have a good time, slow down , have a restful vacation then this would... more
