Definitely request a room overlooking the lake--it looked like it was made of glass. Beautiful hotel with easy access to the town and surrounding nature. I preferred this location to Llao Llao, which is much father away from everything. Rooms were extremely comfortable with nice amenities. Dinner at the restaurant was nice, I will agree that breakfast could have been... More

This is the second time we have been to this charming hotel. We were so pleased to be back in our lovely room overlooking the lake with its own private terrace and gorgeous view. As before we enjoyed the very spacious and very well presented room with its comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. The boutique size of the hotel is... More

What we experienced was no 5-star level at all. The hotel is located directly at the lake with a very lovely view from the room. What the hotel pictures don't tell is that the major road is directly behind the hotel. You will hear the cars from the pool, from the terrace and from the room - even with the... More

We were booked for 3 nights at El Casco but were only able to spend 2 there because of a flight cancellation. The lost night is one of the few regrets of our trip to South America, as El Casco is truly one of the very best hotels we have ever visited. The moment we arrived we were amazed by... More

At El Casco we had a lovely room with a fantastic view. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was delicious. We would recommend the El Caso to anyone visiting Bariloche. More

What a lovely hotel with great grounds and amazing views. We visited this hotel as part of our honeymoon and were made to feel very special with champagne and chocolates in our room. We hired a car to get around Bariloche which was not very expensive to hire. We did think the hotel was expensive however the food at the... More

Stayed here two nights and loved it. While the hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Bariloche, a cab ride or crowded bus ride is pretty easy. We did both and then rented a car for a day of touring on our own. Make sure you get a room with a balcony if you are there during warm weather. We... More

Beautiful decorated hotel situated on the lake with stunning views. Art and paintings throughout the whole hotel. Excellent food, wine and service. The hotel assisted us with organizing a good guide to do a fly-fishing trip on the Limay-river. Amazing atmosphere and close enough to Bariloche. A dream destination. More

We spent three glorious nights in this excellent boutique hotel of about 30 rooms. The location was right on the lake with superb views, about 15mins/70 pesos from town and 25 mins/90 pesos from the airport. We had a first floor room of about 40 m2 and we paid USD 270/night (March 2011) (no discount for cash). My fiance loved... More
