I stayed 2 nights at the Tucuman Center. The staff was very helpful and nice. As a plus there was a welcome half bottle of champagne waiting for me when I arrived back from dinner the first night. First impressions of the hotel were good with a pleasant reception area and welcoming staff.
It went downhill from there.
Having booked a non-smoking room and reconfirmed that at check-in we were shown to a room that had an ashtray on the table. At that point we were told the room was both smoking and non-smoking....and interesting interpretation.

This hotel on 25th of May Street is very conveniently located in downtown San Miguel de Tucuman, 1/2 a block from the pedestrian shopping streets and 2 blocks from the main plaza of the center city (where the Casa de Gobierno and the cathedral are located).
The hotel seems newly appointed and is outfitted and decorated as a nice business...
