What a sanctuary! Easy walk from the bus station, town centre, restraunts and the near by historic ruins. Fantastic little Northern Argentinia town. Highly recommend a visit. And it's on the way through to Bolivia if you are going that way. The hotel is quite new and is built all in traditional methods using local materials. Very cosy and interesting... More

The rooms at El Refugio del Pintor are stylish, but the hotel lacks good on-site management. The on-site staff - if you can find them - is at best indifferent. We travel independently and took a 2 day tour with a local travel agent. They booked us at this hotel and they were very friendly and accommodating. We were very tired after a very long day and they ordered food from a restaurant and delivered it to our room. The place is lovely and we wished we could have stayed... More
