Right from my first contact with John Fernandez, the owner & generous host of the Secret Garden, nothing was too much trouble. John arranged with the delightful Claudio to pick us up from the airport & on our arrival in Puerto Iguazu John joined us for a tour around the town. John pointed out restaurants & gave us a history... More

Secret Garden is a wonderful place to stay. Quiet and comfortable and run by a most unique host, John Fernandez. John is very knowledgeable on a number of subjects ranging from botany to local politics and he loves to engage with and bring people together. Admittedly, Iguazu is quite overrun by tourists. By staying with John, you'll be able to... More

A perfect spot to stay when visiting Iguazu Falls. From the moment we arrived John was the perfect host. He gave us a tour of the town when we first arrived so we knew where the local restaurants and amenities were. At 7pm every night he serves caipirinha's on his beautiful deck and it gives you a chance to have... More

Secret Garden is the perfect B&B, clean, comfortable, homey, with the perfect host/concierge; John, the owner! The lush garden is indeed a surprise in between the main house and the rooms. The rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is served hot and happy hour, well, perfect! Market and restaurants are close enough for a walk. John regularly arranged cars to pick... More

We stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed it. John, as has been mentioned, is a wonderful host who really lives for the comfort and happiness of his guests. We felt very pampered. The only downside is that the walls of the rooms were a bit thin and we could hear our neighbors when they came in one night... More

We really enjoyed our stay with John and his little dog Roxy. John was a very good and knowledgeable host. The rooms are separated from the main house by a tropical garden. Our room which was the middle one was large and had a very good shower. The only minor drawback for us was the fact that it did have... More

I travelled to Iguazu solo and from the initial correspondence right through to my sad departure from the Secret Garden, my experience was fantastic! I arrived early in the morning and was picked up from the bus terminal by John almost immediately. After driving me through Puerto Iguazu and providing snippets of history, he brought me to the B&B. As... More

We stayed here three day and two nights. The accomodations were comfortable. The real bonus of staying here is the incredible hospitality! We loved gathering every afternoon for happy hour with the other guests and our host John and his friendly dog Roxy. He serves great caipirinhas and amazing empanadas. This really added a new depth to our experience at... More

Other reviewers raved about their stays at the Secret Garden B&B and I was expecting this to be a bit of hyperbole, but I have to say that my wife and I had a great stay there. Most of this is directly attributable to the hospitality shown us by the proprietor, John. John arranged transportation for us to and from... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at this well run B&B. John is an interesting and informative host and was very honest in pointing out when I was planning our trip that my intended stay of 4 nights could easily be shortened. Breakfast was always delightful sitting on the covered terrace, as was the daily happy hour in the evening... More

An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina.
