Upon landing at Puerto Iguazu airport (AR) we were met by our own driver and whisked to the Aldea, in the middle of the jungle, about 2 miles from town and about 20 minutes from the Falls. The lodge is immaculate, cool, inviting and beautifully decorated. Our cabana was in a four-plex, about 100 yards from the lodge, down a... More

Rooms were great and very clean and staff were so friendly and helpful. Swimming pool area is great, would recommend chilling there for lunch and drinks. Loved relaxing in the hammock on the balcony. Free wi-fi in the rooms. Only negative was the power cuts during our stay but none of these lasted very long.

At first glance the place looks delightful. It does have a great pool, lobby and jungle setting. But our room was falling apart. I reported the broken reading lamp and jacuzzi but nothing was fixed. The second morning, we had no hot water. The lodge is far from the town and taxis are expensive, even for a short ride. I wished... More

Our first impression of Aldea de la Selva was a very good one as we saw a very nice lobby, the cabins scattered in the jungle, the room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Then, we started to notice some shortcomings: - a very unpleasant odor from an unidentified source occurred few times in the room - the restaurant serves... More

Open high-ceiling lodge built and furnished with old and rich wood feels like one of those old National Park lodges. Located just outside Puerto Iguazu, a short walk got me to the public bus to town and to the amazing Iguazu Falls. Staff are very friendly, greeting me with a cold glass of water when I arrived mid-day. Food is... More

This place is idyllic. Surrounded by the jungle the hotel is quiet and tranquil. The rooms are all wooden first story buildings complete with balcony and hammock. The room was beautiful, large, very clean and a real experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food and wine was very good. Great location to explore falls from,... The lodges are clean and functional but the best thing about this hotel is the fact the lodges are placed amongst the trees. There's wildlife everywhere you look (and listen!). The staff are very helpful and accommodating and the dining room has a good menu and range of wines - which is really important because without a car it's really... More

Rooms are really clean and functional, but not luxorious. Beds are good. Aircon is quite noisy. If you are looking for something different from the standard hotel, this is for you. Pool area is wonderful. Staff is nice and helpful and most of them speak rather good English. Food in the restaurant is fine. However breakfast buffet is quite limited.... More

Good food, decent rooms, a real jungle experience. A little far away from the Falls, tho, and nothing to do at night, you can't walk anywhere.

Pros: The lodge is nestled in the jungle Wooden planks throughout Rooms have private decks with hammocks, A/C Cons: Small room Noise Odd customer service Booking Found La Aldea in Frommer's-sounded and looked nice. Stayed 3 nights here and our room must have been one of the additions that came after Frommer's reviewed them. We booked a standard room was... More
