The location is solid, just off the main strip of restaurants and clubs, but the breakfast food was hardly edible, the rooms tiny and broken down, the bed uncomfortable, and the windows tiny, which led to a very clausterphobic feel. We stayed at a number of our hotels in Mendoza that were nearly the exact same price and were of... More

Took a side trip to Mendoza, Argentina, about a 35 minute flight from Santiago, Chile. Stayed at the Hotel Mendoza. It is very centrally located. Rooms are not big but they are comfortable enough and clean. Staff has been courteous. And my rate includes a decent breakfast on the 10th floor where i took a few pictures. Bathroom was clean... The hotel is very near the business center of the city. I,ve been there several times because is where my client gets corporate rates. The place is not very comfortable, as the rooms are small and with no place for a business traveller who needs to display a laptop and papers. Furniture, decoration, and bathroom fittings are old, and sometimes... More

great location in city center, very friendly, professional and helpful staff, but our room for 3 was really very small, there was almost no place to put and open the baggage, equipment and furniture was very basic, out-dated and damaged, we changed the room in both of 2 nights we spent there due to broken air-condition, in conclusion it is... I stayed here with Intrepid tours. The room was somewhat dated but comfortable enough for a mid-range hotel. Breakfast is served on the top floor, which is the same floor as the gym and spa. Whilst breakfast was basic and mediocre, the view from the top was excellent, with clear views towards the Andes. Highlights: Location, in the centre of... More

We had a standard room for one night here. It was very simple and a little out-dated. The service was fantastic, staff were very helpful and friendly. But the room was a let down. We paid $480 pesos (US$120) for the standard room with queen bed and it was basic. We stayed in a hotel that was only $20 for... More

Location is great, wi-fi works very well,, rooms are adequately sized and stuffed. Not luxury, but the price is quite affordable and honest.

Overall, for the value and need, the hotel was nice. Its location to the tourists locations and restaurants was very close (walking distance) and only a block away from Independence Plaza. The people were very friendly and service minded. The language barrier was tough to overcome unless, but overall I would stay there again.

The only thing with merits the term "Gran Hotel" is the room size and the bed quality. The rest is an average middle class hotel, which needs at least a touch up for its price level of 100 US$ per night. You have the choice between thin windows to the street crossing in front of the hotel or a nice... More

We stayed in the Gran Hotel Mendoza in November this year. It was difficult to find hotels in Mendoza so we opted for the Gran Hotel Mendoza. We pre-booked the hotel but when we arrived they were disorganised & didn't seem to know we had booked a room. The room was small & smelt very strongly of smoke. We asked... More
