I highly recommend Hostel Alamo. Great prices, location, super helpful staff, good breakfast and well-equipped kitchen. The rooms are charming with fans, a/c, cable television and wifi in the rooms (a tad weak though, and not available in some). Rooms are a tad dry, but this is Mendoza afterall. Yes, stay at Hostel Alamo. More

Spacious accommodations moderately priced from large garden ensuite rooms to those in main building, including dormitories with baths adjacent. Large double common room and dining/breakfast room over looking the garden with small pool and terrace seating adjacent garden rooms. Good kitchen facilities. Excellent Wifi connection with three servers available. The door is gated, controlled from reception, and can be accessed... More

This hostel has it all. Our room (private double with ensuite bathroom) was *huge*, with a very confortable bed, beautiful tiled bathroom, A/C, high ceilings, lots of natural light, lots of storage space, etc. The common areas are inviting and practical, the kitchen is well equipped, the breakfast is very nice, there is free wifi everywhere and the staff is... there we were, stuck in Mendoza, but the people of this hostel made it bearable to stick around. Super friendly attentive staff, although we had the smallest room (still ok) and a miniature bathroom everything was ok! breakfast is basic Argentinian style. More

Good hostel with nice and relaxing "patio", but too expensive and not really close to bars or restaurants. I liked the atmosphere a lot and it was very clean. The breakfast is poor. More

Thought that the last of my hostel days ended in 1971...but thanks to a visit arranged by my daughter who lives in Argentina, I was booked into the Hostel Alamo. It was a delight: superb staff, beautiful courtyard, well-kept and very, very clean. Location is great. Safe, a wonderful range of restaurants nearby if you are so inclined. Extra bonus?... More

Let's face it: this is a cosy place but not extraordinary! I stayed for 3 nights in 2 different rooms, both facing the (rather noisy) street. Poor breakfast, rooms are old school and a little pricey for what you get. On the plus side: relaxing garden in the backyard, they rent bicycles, you might meet friendly travelers and Joel at... Loved this hostel for many reasons. Clean/save/spacious/located centrally but the most important; Friendly and warm staff. The people that work at the reception, the cleaning ladies, the trainee and the owner: they were all very friendly and helpfull. Also important; this is not a party hostel. So, no bar or alcoholic drinks but absolutely no dull place at all. A... More

……. But other than that it was alright. We stayed for 4 nights and the hostel arranged our wine tour for us which was good. However we had a few problems with the hostel 1. We got a bit fed up with the staff. The female member of staff was really nice, it was just the blokes that were on... More
