This Avis car hire slogan certainly applies here. The owners and staff go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel is in a lovely looking colonial style house set in lovely gardens with a swimming pool and tennis court. The room I stayed in - the Victoria suite - was very spacious with... More

Dear Janice, Thanks for your review and your opinions. First night you stayed in Suite Garbo – executive suite. It´s connected to the central A/C system. Obviously we didn´t operate it very successfully the first night. We therefor gave you an upgrade to our suite De Lux the second night. In this suite the A/C is operated by the guest... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night during the month of May in 2012. Me and GF live in BsAs, decided to spend a romantic night in Tigre. I suggest only staying here if you have a car, because even though we thought the walk would be nice, and it was mostly, it is still very far. Only good thing... More

Dear guest, Thanks for your review. It´s a great pity it´s written eight/nine months after your actual stay – that obviously lasted only one night. We are very sorry that you didn´t like Tigre, Hotel Villa Victoria, nor the restaurants you visited. However I want to take the opportunity to make some comments. There is nothing like ”the house” and... More

My husband and I are visiting B.A. for the month and had read the great TIGRE, Villa Victoria reviews so booked. We decided to walk from the train station to the Hotel , not realising it is as far away from the station and Sites as can be (no boat even picks up near by) The sidewalk is broken, busy... More

We, a family of 4, stayed at Villa Victoria for 2 nights. The hotel is a really charming place with nice swimming pool, tennis court and nice places for relaxation. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were overall kind and helpful. Only compliant is about the breakfast and the staff at breakfast - neither lived up to expectations... More

I went there with my family for two days (one night) to spend a quiet evening and sunny days at the pool. We had two infants and two toddlers with us. When we arrived we were told that there was an event for 80 people that evening, with loud music until 1.30am and fireworks. They suggested we dine out (even... More

This charming, converted mansion is about 5 minutes walk from the river and 25 minutes from the centre of town. The conversion is true to the origins of the mansion 100 years ago. The owners are excellent hosts and the staff is very hospitable. The hotel has a pool and a lovely veranda overlooking the gardens. The veranda is a... More

My wife, toddler and I were looking for a small family run hotel within an hour of Buenos Aires for a couple of nights just to relax, enjoy and escape our hectic life in the city. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and intend to return. Our room, the Victoria room was huge. It toasted a large bedroom... More

The house is comfortable, pleasant and is spotlessly clean. There is a magnificent sunny balcony from where you can look out onto the delightful garden while you eat. We were able to start our Argentine birdwatching trip by just walking around the garden! We stayed in the Nobel suite which was enormous with a sunny balcony and great bathroom. The... More

The house is old and lovely, the room we had was smallish and clean with a separate lounge and generous shared area. Lovely pool and nice breakfast verandahs. There was a bit of a drama using the safe that we didn't need to be party to. Food seems to be a bit more recycled than I'm used to: on the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Villa Victoria is one of the oldest and most traditional properties in the historic part of Tigre. The building from 1900 has seen the old bourgeoisie escape their warm palaces in the city during the summer, to enjoy the breeze of the river and go rowing in the various old rowing clubs that still stand along the Tigre River, as a reminder of those days. The house with its galleries and gardens was an important place for musical reunions and social gatherings. Today, the house stands completely renovated to offer its guest its former splendid charm and personal attention , with modern accommodationsa and comfortable and spacey rooms and bathroom facilities. ... more   less
