The place is incredible, in old building and great painted. The room (8bed) was ok, but a little stuffy. The breakfast was fine. We met great people there. Good location.

This place is below average for the city. There are hundreds of other hostels in B.A that are comparably priced and much better. This one is nothing special. I had a very nice time at El Sol. I stayed there 14 days in November 2010. The location is just perfect in San Telmo. The room and kitchen was nice and over and above all a very friendly place to stay with a very relaxed and helpful staff. I am returning soonest possible.

Even on the hottest of days, the giant doors, open porch, made the stay memorable. As other reviews point out, there is some street noise, but that didn't comprimise the authentic feeling of a wonderful old building. Keep your expectations real, and you'll love the helpful staff (good english Michele). Economical restaurants on the same corner!

the managers or owners are very friendly but OMG don't try sleeping there is noise from traffic and people talking/chatting/parting music all night long. I can't honestly recommend this unless you are very young and can survive on 0 hours sleep, or are the type that could sleep through a plane crash. I had earplugs and it didn't help it... More

Old building very safe in a good neighbourhood , fantasic map given to us by staff who were very helpfull and welcoming. Booked a tango lesson and show for us. No noise, clean and given a heater for room which was great. Lovely Bakeries around the corner No safety deposit boxes but didnt have a problem. Nice hostel Would recommend
