This is a very friendly and well organised hotel in a very safe area of Palermo. Some very good restaurants nearby. The subte is about a 10 minute walk away. The rooms are very clean and comfortable although the fixtures and fittings are showing their age a bit (the 80s style pink bathroom took a bit of getting used to!).... More

The Alpino Hotel definitely met expectations. The lobby, bar and dining area are very modern and breakfast fulfills with its croissants, cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruits, coffee and juices. Though the room seemed a bit dated in style, it was very spacious. The room’s refrigerator has a stocked bar. Internet connectivity was great and the room was very spacious. A... More

I enjoyed my two-night stay at the Alpino in Palermo. My room was quiet and comfortable, the breakfast was good and the free WiFi worked fine. The neighborhood is pleasant with tree-lined streets and many shops and restaurants. I had an excellent meal at an Italian restaurant, Anetta, about four blocks away on Ugarteche and a good lunch at Canal,... More

I think the management has been reading tripadvisor comment, because some of the criticisms I read from past travelers seem to have been corrected. The staf were friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was a good selection of fruit, cereals, and pastries and the coffee was fine. A double bed for 2 persons was only $80, including the outrageous... More

Stayed at the Alpino for 7 nights and cannot find anything wrong with it. Granted the furnishing are from the 70's and the walls are paper thin, but the free WiFi always worked, it's in great location close to everything, nice hot water with plenty of water pressure (not always the case in Latin America) free breakfast, and a very... Great location in Palermo Soho. Plenty of food and shopping near by. Starbucks, if you need it is 2 blocks away. Scuzi restaurant is ok. Annetta is really good, pizza place down the street begins with an R is really good, gelato just down the street, etc. The hotel is very old. The rooms have not been updated in decades.... More

The only reason why I did not tell this before is because I simply did not use the internet to post reviews. We were victims of a fraud, all orchestrated by the hotel concierge Pablo. We asked him to recommend us a travel agency to book a side trip to Iguazu and he called an alleged travel agency. My mother... More

Hotel Alpino's greatest asset is its location in Palermo. However, the hotel is not great. I was travelling solo and was given a twin room. The carpet was threadbare and worn in two places to expose the concrete floor below. The first time I used the shower, the shower curtain came away and the bathroom was soaked. The beds were... More

This is a nice hotel. Clean, cheap and old. Very good localization.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The rooms are large and clean, but could use some updated decorating. The location in Palermo is safe to walk at night after dining at the great restaurants just blocks away. In fact, we left on an excursion to the north of Argentina and returned to Buenos Aires to stay another three days at this... More
