After perusing tripadvisor, I decided to book a room at the Principe Hotel. I was lured in by the US$23/room rate that I read on this website and I told my cab driver almost braggingly what a great deal this was. To my dismay, I found out that singles were actually AR200 (US$50) and doubles AR250 (US$64). My taxi had... more

I did go to Buenos Aires with my mother (80) a person who prefers the Sheratons, Hiltons etc. We both took the chance with the Principe Hotel (since our beloved cat is named Principe) and found it a great deal and a nice place to stay. Since we do not spend much time at a hotel and I had a... more

I stayed about 10 days at this hotel and really did like it. First off I can tell you as a very well traveled person I found this to be a great bargain. Location is excelent with many shops and restaurants within walking distance on Av. Santa Fe. Hotel is on a side street so there is not too much... more

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days in March 2005, our room was large and light with 3 beds. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but it was more than acceptable for the money $35USD/night with breakfast. We wanted to stay in an Argentinian hotel rather than a hotel full of American and European tourists and this... more

The Hotel Principe is well-located (close to the metro and just off busy Avenida Santa Fe), but there are better values. Our room was rundown, with none of the charm of Buenos Aires' other aging establishments. The room we were given was spacious enough, with two single beds in addition to a queen bed, but it also smelled musty. The... more

I usually travel several months in a country- so I stayed last year 3 months in Argentina and this year I returned again. As everybody else my trip always starts in Buenos Aires and I have to return there to get my flight back home. From Feb. 1st - Feb.6th I stayed in Hotel Principe because it has nice previews... more

We wanted a quiet place in Buenos Aires to spend 4-5 days. On the last minute we cancelled our reservation in a downtown hotel for Hotel Principe. It was a great decision. Hotel Principe has a great location (in Palermo: one of the richest area), Internet cafe, grocery store, restaurant and ATM were less than a block away. Plus you... more

I stayed here for a total of nine nights in mid-late April, 2004 and I was very pleased with my choice. This is a simple, small family-run hotel in Barrio Norte, bordering both Recoleta and Palermo, an excellent choice for those who are not the hostel-type but looking for an inexpensive place to stay in a very nice and safe... more
