We loved staying at the Poetry building for 7 days in April. The location is wonderful, the staff is very, very helpful and the apartments are really nice. Hot buttons for us are 1) comfortable bed, 2) good shower, 3) quiet for sleeping and 4) convenient location. The Poetry Building met all our criteria. Highly recommended.

From the location, to the decor, atmosphere, the services and the staff - especially the very nice, very accommodating and knowledgeable Yanina!! My husband and I spent 12 unforgettable days in Buenos Aires, in large part because of the Poetry Building’s perfect way of welcoming us: super informative package with all the details and recommendations for a ‘no worries’ stay,... I have made many trips to Buenos Aires and stayed in a number of apartments. The Poetry Building is our favorite by far!! The building is on a beautiful neighborhood street in walking distance to the best restaurants, shopping, sites and hotels. It is very convenient to have the laundry, dry cleaners and supermarket all within a block. I have... More

We recently were fortunate enough to stay 5 nights in a studio apartment at poetry. I can only reiterate the previous comments. The studio apartment we stayed in was generous in size beautifully clean and immediately felt like home, so lovely after multiple hotel stays. The staff are a real bonus, very friendly and helpful. The location is also really... More

My husband and I stayed at the Poetry Building for four days in January. The Poetry Building is in a fantastic location; walking distance to many sites and restaurants. It is also VERY easy to grab a taxi for longer trips. The service is impeccable; the staff genuinely cares about your comfort and they are happy to assist with reservations,... More

Located in the heart of the Ricoleta area of Buenos Aires, the Poetry is an apartment type hotel. Only about 15 rooms, we think. Service by the "front desk" and others was excellent. Everyone spoke fluent English as well as lightning-fast Spanish! We stayed in Apt. 2B, two flights up. Perfect for three or four guests. Interior stairs in the... More

I lived in Argentina for 5 months and when my family came to visit we all stayed here and had a wonderful time. Each room is set up like a small apartment and the hotel is walking distance from a great pizza shop down the street as well as several supermarkets. Santa Fe is a short walk where you can... More

We just spent three weeks here at the Poetry Building and considered our time here one of the highlights of our first visit to Argentina. Located in an elegant restored mansion, our beautifully decorated apartment included a private balcony and was fully equipped. When we arrived, we found beautiful flowers, a personal guide of staff recommendations for things to do... More

We just returned from a two week stay in #4A at the Poetry Building. Terrific location, very nice accommodations, and a well maintained building. The staff were wonderfully helpful in booking tours, recommending sites, advising us as to shopping, restaurants, and day to day needs. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing an alternative to a typical hotel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Poetry Building offers 18 exquisite and professionally furnished apartments specifically designed for short-term vacation rental. They are beautifully appointed with all the comforts and amenities you have at home. Poetry is located in Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires' most desired and exquisite neighborhoods, surrounded by parks, cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The building itself evokes the romance that is Buenos Aires. It is firmly rooted in Argentina’s history as the former home of one of its most famous and aristocratic families, the Peralta Ramos. Many of the original architectural lines and much of the beautiful grace of the original 100 year old mansion have been restored. Much effort has been taken to meticulously update Poetry’s interiors to interpret and integrate current trends with modern demands. Our staff speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese. We are located in the office on the ground floor of the building. We offer:Privacy without solitude. Luxury without stuffiness or attitude and assistance without intrusiveness. ... more   less
