I went here on an Intrepid Trip and enjoyed the whole experience. The owners were genuinely friendly. The view from the rooftop is pretty good. With the planned improvements it'll only get better.

The owners of this Pension really do make you feel at home. It is good value for what it is and the planned renovations will make it better.

We stayed here for 5 nights in June and really couldn't have picked a better place. It was a safe haven away from the thronging crowds of tourist. Rooms were clean and the roof terrace was a great place for a pre-dinner beer!

We stayed in Pension Bicuar for 3 nights, had a doubleroom with sink/shower. Shared WC with other guests, but this was not a problem. Small, but very clean rooms. A small Pension style hotel with clean and well appointed rooms. A refreshing change from the soul-less, characterless, modern chain style hotel. Just back from a 5 day stay at Pension Bicuar after reading an online review 'lazy days in the Algarve' -the guardian and doing a scout around for reasonable priced accomodation. Location very central and easy to find. Rooms were clean and simple. Our room had shower and sink with toilet in hall but rooms with en suite are available.... More
