Me and my husband stayed at Summerwood in early October (09)and were thoroughly impressed. Such friendly staff. We couldn't have been looked after any better. Great recommendation to Ernie Else's restaurant 'The Big Easy' - a super evening. We would certainly visit again. more

I had had the pleasure of staying at Summerwood for two cold and rainy nights in September, while visiting my daughter in Stellenbosch where she is studying abroad. Summerwood was a well-located and very comfortable place to stay. The staff were helpful and warm, the rooms were beautiful, and the city of Stellenbosch is a nice getaway from the city in a naturally beautiful setting. more

We spent 3 nights here and loved it. Good points: -Staff and their service cannot be faulted; they fell over themselves to help us, book resturants, excursions etc. -Off road secure parking (although it's not needed) -Safe area; we felt comfortable walking back at night -Close enough to walk into town -Great place to base yourselves for wine tasting -Lovely... more

We stayed here for one night. The public areas are beautiful and service outstanding. Very quiet location and pleasant gardens and pool - we had a quiet afternoon relaxing by the pool had a constant supply of iced water and ice tea delivered to our side (with no prompting or charge). My husbond and I had a wonderful night and morning at Summerwood Guest House. The rooms are english landlord style - very romantic. Everything is nicely arranged and there are a polite and friendly tone from the staff. Should we ever come around again, we would choose to stay here. Charlotte Hjort more
