We arrived in Paarl after driving 400 kilometres. Being new to South Africa we hadn't realised that Sunday is a very quiet day indeed. We drove around the town looking for a room for the night and were directed to Zommerlust. by a B & B proprietor whose establishment was full. We followed the sign to their car park but... More

I recently stayed at Zomerlust Guesthouse, with my husband, on a holiday in scenic Paarl. While I enjoy Paarl, my last stay at the Zomerlust Guesthouse was truly a sad affair. Below I list a few issues I had at this so called 4 star during a 1 week stay: 1. Carpets in rooms are not vacuumed but swept. 2. The shower tile was green and moldy. 3. Sewer water pipe fluids and matter shot... More
